Welcome
German-Kiwi artist Helme Heine and his wife Gisela von Radowitz visiting the embassy in Wellington
On Friday, May 21st, we welcomed German Kiwi artist Helme Heine and his wife Gisela von Radowitz to the embassy in Wellington. Gisela von Radowitz is a author who lives and works with her husband Helme Heine in the Bay of Islands.
Helme Heine is an internationally known artist and author, illustrator and designer who has just turned 80. He spoke about the importance of the cultural scene around the world and welcomed his painting “3 Kiwis”, which embellishes our entrance area. The original painting with the bright animal and human figures was originally part of “Reflection” - a special exhibition in October 2018 at the Five Continents Museum in Munich, and is the 3rd copy of this kind.
