Welcome
Renovation project at Brilliant Star Montessori School
The German Embassy in Wellington in partnership with Brilliant Star Montessori School was celebrating the successful completion of a partnership project to renovate the school’s hall. For this project The German Embassy in Wellington contributed $30,000 Samoan Tala worth of building materials towards the project. Brilliant Star Montessori contributed the remaining $20,000.
A representative of the German Consul’s office in Samoa, Stefan Szegedi stated “Being able to do this project is really special for me. When I was only two and a half years old, I became one of first students to attend Brilliant Star Montessori. Even all these years later I still have several fond and happy memories from my time here as a student.”
Mr. Szegedi also explained that “The renovation to the school hall at Brilliant Star Montessori will ensure a safer learning environment for the children, teachers and visiting parents. The hall also serves many different purposes; children use it to play when the outside weather is not good, a learning space for activities like singing, dancing, painting and the main dining area for the children to eat fruits. That is why it was so important to renovate this school hall so that the important work of educating the children can continue in a safe environment”.
Principal of Brilliant Star Montessori Yassamin Yazdani expressed her appreciation for the support “I cannot thank the German Consul in Samoa and the German Embassy in Wellington enough for their generous contribution that allows us to go forward with this renovation project. With our vision ”excellence in all things“ in our education, we strive to also implement this in our facilities, so that the children can be nurtured and grow in the best possible environment”.
